What to Do If A Tile Gets Damaged
Accidents happen, but the good news is that repairing a damaged Six3Tile tile is quick and easy! Whether it's heat damage or an accidental impact, you don’t need to worry about a full panel replacement—just swap out the affected tile with these simple steps.
How to Replace a Damaged Six3Tile Panel
- Cut Out the Damaged Tile
Use an oscillating tool to carefully cut along the grout lines around the damaged tile. Take your time to ensure a clean removal. - Prepare the Surface
Once the tile is out, remove any excess adhesive and clean the area thoroughly to ensure a powerful bond for the replacement tile. - Apply Construction Adhesive
Spread a quality construction adhesive on the back of the replacement tile to ensure a strong bond. In tub and shower applications, spread a bead of silicone around the perimeter of where the new tile will be going to make it water-tight. - Install the New Tile
Press the new tile into place, aligning it with the surrounding panels. - Regrout for a Seamless Finish
Apply grout along the edges to blend the repair with the rest of your backsplash.
That’s it! With this simple fix, your kitchen or bathroom backsplash will look as good as new—without the hassle of a full renovation.
